The ship is sailing at IAAPA Expo Europe 2026

For more than a decade, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expos have been an important part of Ropeland’s journey. Each year, they give us the opportunity to showcase our latest innovations, meet partners from around the world and exchange ideas with professionals who share our passion for creating exceptional play experiences.

This year in London, however, we wanted to do something different.

Inspired by Britain’s rich maritime heritage and the great age of seafaring exploration, we set out to create more than just another playground… we wanted to tell a story. The result is a spectacular sailing galleon in full sail, designed to spark children’s imagination and transport them on adventures across the open seas.

Introducing the **Ropeland RL1005-BOAT**  – the first model in a new generation of themed single-hook woven playgrounds.

Covering an impressive **170 m²**, the model combines artistic craftsmanship with multi-level climbing, exploration and imaginative play. Every deck, rope and climbing route has been carefully designed to encourage movement, discovery and creative role play, while delivering the durability and safety that Ropeland products are known for.

Built using Ropeland’s signature hand-woven rope technology, developed and refined through more than 25 years of expertise, the RL1005-BOAT represents the next evolution of our themed playgrounds. Combining proven engineering with a bold new artistic vision, it delivers the durability, safety and quality that have become synonymous with the Ropeland name.

The RL1005-BOAT is also a milestone in design innovation. Its unique appearance is the intellectual property of Ropeland, protected by copyright and officially registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), reinforcing our commitment to originality and innovation in themed playground design.
